Katherine holds an MM in Piano Performance from Wright State University, where she studied piano with Dr. Jackson Leung and performed Ravel's Concerto in G with the Wright State University Chamber Orchestra. Her master's recital included works by Beethoven, Bach, Barber, and Chopin.
At the University of Puget Sound, Katherine studied piano, voice, organ, acting, and directing, earning a BA in Theatre Arts and a BA in Music. She was a 4-year member of the Adelphian Concert Choir and directed a full-length musical for her senior thesis. She also played Cinderella in Into the Woods, Olga in Three Sisters, and Martha in A Piece of My Heart.
Katherine's sacred compositions have been performed at BYU Women's Conference, CES Firesides, BYU Education Week, and at the Church Music Festival at Temple Square; by the Colorado Saints Chorale, the Provo MTC Choir, and numerous ward, stake, and Institute choirs. Several of her pieces have been recognized in the annual LDS Church Music Submission.
Katherine is originally from Colorado Springs. She and her husband, Lee, are the proud parents of three boys.

Katherine Wright is a collaborative pianist, church organist, and composer in Chesapeake, VA. Her broad artistic background includes work with singers, choirs, instrumentalists, schools, and churches. Most recently, she accompanied instrumental and vocal students at Bucknell University and Susquehanna University. She also performed as an organist with the Susquehanna Valley Chorale. Katherine has over 25 years' experience as a professional accompanist. She has been teaching piano since 2003 and organ since 2015. In 2017, she completed MTNA Certification and became a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano. In 2020, she was awarded the certificate of Colleague of the American Guild of Organists.
